DELIVERY SYSTEM Research & Development
Our hands-on understanding of the critical care environment helps us design at an optimum level
Beyond providing novel biotherapeutics, we also have particular expertise in developing drug-delivery systems. We know that proper administration is vital; therefore, we have invested in a delivery system manufacturing facility where our delivery system innovations are designed, engineered, and manufactured.
Our notable delivery system innovations include:
- INOmax® DS: A second-generation delivery system constitutes a significant enhancement to our original inhaled nitric oxide delivery system, the INOvent®. Its smaller size and weight improve ease of use in transport applications over its predecessor. Plus, its enhanced user interface improves efficiencies at the bedside and enables a greater ability to work with more third-party ventilators
- INOmax DSIR™: Our third-generation delivery system that utilizes infrared technology to link the device and cylinder, allowing expanded informatics on use of INOMAX therapy. Like the INOmax DS, the INOmax DSIR is constructed for ease of use and contains multiple back-up warnings and alarm features to ensure the safe, consistent, and reliable delivery and monitoring of INOMAX. With its compact size and weight, the INOmax DSIR offers improved system management, such as drug usage tracking and various reminders that assist in the proper administration of INOMAX therapy
- INOpulse DS: This portable, investigational, future-generation device, which is engineered to deliver inhaled nitric oxide to spontaneously breathing patients, is being utilized in trials for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
Warning
The INOvent, INOmax DS, and INOmax DSIR Delivery Systems must only be used in accordance with the indications, usage, contraindications, warnings, and precautions described in the nitric oxide drug package inserts and labeling.
INOMAX and INOvent are registered trademarks of INO Therapeutics LLC. DSIR is a trademark of Ikaria, Inc.
