
David E. Shaw
Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board

Mr. Shaw has served as Chairman of the Board since March 2007, Executive Chairman since January 2008, and Chief Executive Officer from April 2007 to January 2008. Mr. Shaw is Managing Director of Black Point Group, a private investment company, and a Partner with Venrock Associates, a venture capital firm. He served as a Senior Advisor to New Mountain Capital, a private equity firm, from 2005 to 2007. He is the founder and retired CEO of IDEXX Laboratories, Inc., and has been a director and/or founding investor of several high-technology companies including Microbia, Fetch, Cytyc, Exact Sciences, Skinetics Biosciences, Magen BioSciences, Ikaria and others. His career has also included management consulting, public service and numerous non-profit organizations including The Jackson Laboratory, Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, the US-Israel Science and Technology Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, YPO/CEO, Outward Bound, Maine Medical Center and others. |

Daniel Tassé
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Tassé is President and Chief Executive Officer of Ikaria Holdings, Inc. Prior to joining Ikaria he served as General Manager of Baxter International’s Pharmaceuticals & Technologies business, a division created by integrating the company’s Anesthesia, Critical Care and BioPharma Solutions Business units. Prior to his tenure at Baxter International, Mr. Tassé held senior management positions at GlaxoSmithKline and Upjohn. He has a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Montreal. |

Ralf Rosskamp
M.D., Executive Vice President of Research and Development
Dr. Rosskamp joined Ikaria in October 2007 as Executive Vice President of Research and Development. Prior to joining Ikaria, Dr. Rosskamp served as Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Kos Pharmaceuticals from 2003 until 2007. From 1999 until 2003 Dr. Rosskamp was Vice President of Global Therapeutic Research and Development for Endocrinology, Metabolism, Rheumatology and Bone at Aventis Pharmaceuticals. Earlier in his career he held several executive positions at Hoechst Pharmaceuticals and served as a senior physician in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Bonn (Germany), where he earned his M.D. |

Matthew M. Bennett
Senior Vice President, Legal and Corporate Development
Mr. Bennett is Senior Vice President, Legal and Corporate Development of Ikaria Holdings, Inc. Mr. Bennett has broad experience in mergers and acquisitions, licensing, litigation, securities, intellectual property, labor matters and regulatory affairs. Mr. Bennett recently served as Executive Vice President, Legal, Business Development and Worldwide Regulatory Affairs, of Viasys Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE: VAS). At Viasys, Mr. Bennett led and completed ten acquisitions, three divestitures and one spin-out before the company’s ultimate sale to Cardinal Health. Before he joined Viasys, Mr. Bennett was a commercial attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP focused on mergers and acquisitions and a defense attorney at Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP focused on commercial defense. |

Elizabeth A. Larkin
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Larkin was named the Chief Financial Officer of Ikaria Holdings in April of 2007, following the merger of INO Therapeutics LLC and Ikaria Inc. Prior to the merger, Ms. Larkin served as Vice President, Finance and Information Management for INO Therapeutics, and joined as Finance Director during the company’s start up phase in 1999. In addition to finance and accounting, her responsibilities have included information technology and human resources, as well as the establishment and management of a dedicated on-site 24/7 customer service department. Before joining INO Therapeutics, Ms. Larkin worked for Becton Dickinson (NYSE: BDX) in the Healthcare Systems Division, where her responsibilities included the analysis, negotiation and oversight of select group purchasing relationships within the organization. Between 1993 and 1998 Ms. Larkin was with Ohmeda (the pharmaceutical and medical equipment division of The BOC Group) where she held various leadership positions within corporate finance, strategic planning and business development, as well as playing a key role in the company’s divestiture to four separate buyers in 1998.

Csaba Szabo
M.D., Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer

Csaba Szabo, M.D., Ph.D., has served as Ikaria Senior Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer since June 2006. Prior to joining Ikaria, Dr. Szabo co-founded Inotek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 1998 and served as Inotek Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer until 2005. Prior to his work at Inotek, Dr. Szabo was Associate Professor and Research Director at the Division of Critical Care at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to his responsibilities at Ikaria, Dr. Szabo holds adjunct Full Professor positions at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Department of Surgery) and the University of Texas Galveston (Department of Anesthesiology).
Dr. Szabo received his M.D. in 1992 at Semmelweis University Medical School in Budapest, Hungary. He conducted his post-doctoral research with Sir John Vane in the William Harvey Research Institute in London. He holds two Ph.D. degrees, in physiology (Semmelweis University) and pharmacology (University of London). He is a co-author of over 400 peer-reviewed full papers, is co-inventor on over 25 issued/pending patents, and is one of the ten most frequently cited pharmacologists in the world. |
